The Veterans Memorial Park located in sunny Florida, was dedicated on November 11, 1998. Our Memorial will serve all U.S Veterans from the Past to the Present. The Veteran’s Memorial Park had it’s beginnings when Frank Mezzatesta was raising money at the local grocery store for the Ex-POW’S. Three young teens stopped to ask him if “POW” stood for “People Out of Work”. An Ex-POW himself, Mezzatesta was shocked that the younger generation has no knowledge of the meaning of the term.
